OK,,, Here are the steps by step that you need to follow...
1. Know how to open your iphone (its very easy)
2. Now you need to get to your iphone motherbord.
3. So here are the motherbord of 3gs vs 3g (3gs is on the left and 3g is on the right)

so in general:
1. Open up iPhone 3G and strip it down to the [color:9b22=#FF0000 !important][color:9b22=#FF0000 !important]motherboard.
2. Extract glued on baseband chip.
3. Re-program baseband chip. Glue it back to [color:9b22=#FF0000 !important][color:9b22=#FF0000 !important]motherboard.
4. Put iPhone 3G back together.
5. Wipe sweat on forehead and smile you didn’t literally brick the iPhone the hard way (no pun intended). Drink iced coffee (I guess you wouldn’t call it a Vietnamese coffee when you’re in Vietnam? LOL).
6. Repeat steps 1-5.
